#ShareTheLove Shoutout – Celebrating Businesses and Individuals Giving Back
Loveland is a resilient, loving community. Even though this has proven to be an incredibly challenging time, our businesses and people have stepped up to do more. We have rounded up some of the programs and outreach efforts that are ongoing. We invite you to #sharethelove and donate, volunteer, or more if you are able. Are you spearheading an effort in Loveland? Share with us!
Betta Gumbo’s CitiCares Program
Through this program, Betta Gumbo is offering free food from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays for those in need. Want to donate? You can submit monetary donations or purchase a T-shirt with a portion of the proceeds going to the cause. Chef Clay Caldwell shared with us that they have served more than 1,000 people in just four days!
Colorado Coffee Company
The company is collecting donations to deliver breakfast burritos, cinnamon rolls and coffee to deserving groups. Find out more and donate.
Door 222 and Aspire 3D
Door 222 is partnering with Aspire 3D to feed the most vulnerable in our community by providing meals during these difficult times. They are currently funded to provide 50 meals per day and are seeking donations to raise this number to 200 meals every day. Aspire 3D has pivoted its service model to support families who have lost their income and their access to free/reduced food programs, older adults who are isolating and not able to get to the grocery store or foodbank, and formerly homeless veterans who are highly vulnerable and depend on Aspire 3D for food and other basic needs. Give today.
I Am Loveland
I Am Loveland is a brand new fundraising campaign to help support locally-owned Loveland small businesses during this challenging time. The I Am Loveland campaign aims to help spread local support of our amazing locally-owned small businesses. Here is how it works: Go to IAmLoveland.com to shop for merchandise you want or choose to donate, then pick the business you are supporting, and proceeds go to that business. You can buy shirts, buttons, mugs and more. All donations are matched so businesses get double your donation. As of May 5, more than 72 businesses have received $7,756 in grants!
Origin’s Wood-Fired Pizza
Origin’s Pay it Forward with Pizza program: has delivered more than 650 pizzas to the hard-working people at fire and police stations, hospitals, grocery stores, truck stops, gas stations, drug stores, nursing homes and more. Find out how you can pay it forward and say THANK YOU to our friends and neighbors who put themselves out there on the front line for us, every day.
The restaurant is feeding the frontline thanks to generous donations from the community. A note will accompany the meal indicating the donor’s name and a kind message to EMS, fire, and medical personnel who are receiving meals. Donate today.
The Black Steer
