Free Outdoor Music in Loveland, Colorado this Summer
One of the best things about summer is outdoor music, and Loveland has several venues where a melody is always in the air.
Foote Lagoon Summer Concerts
The concerts that take place at the Foote Lagoon Amphitheater on 3rd Street in downtown is Loveland’s longest running free outdoor summer music series. Several things make this concert series unique, not the least being that the stage “floats” in the lagoon.
The location allows for attendees to sit in the amphitheater-style seating around the stage or in the grassy areas that surround the lagoon. It’s a fantastic location to enjoy live music.
In the past, we’ve packed a picnic or grabbed something to go from one of Loveland’s many downtown restaurants. This year’s lineup of musical offerings includes everything from Americana to Dixieland Jazz.
This year, 11 bands were hand-picked from a pool of more than 200 applicants.
Music starts at 7 p.m. and occurs on every Thursday from June 22 through July 27, 2017. Click here to see entire lineup including the kid-friendly acts on the Library Stage starting at 5:30 p.m.
Sounds of Centerra Concert Series
The Sounds of Centerra Concert Series, in its tenth year, kicks off on July 7. These free Friday night concerts take place at Chapungu Sculpture Park, a park that borders Promenade Shops at Centerra in east Loveland.
The Great Lawn serves as the venue and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to these weekly events that feature everything from contemporary rock bands to funk music to acapella.
The event includes concert-night carry out specials from Rock Bottom at Centerra. This restaurant also offers 10% off on the day of the concert when you mention Sounds of Centerra. Complimentary popcorn and water will be provided at the event by Thompson Valley High school Band Boosters.
Concerts are scheduled for Fridays from 7 to 9 p.m. throughout the month of July.
Loveland Downtown District LIVE
A brand new event is bringing free music to downtown Loveland on three dates this summer. The first “block party” event was held in June. The next two events take place Saturday, July 29 and Saturday, September 23 from 2 to 9 p.m. on 4th Street from Lincoln Avenue to Cleveland Avenue.
Bands are scheduled to play throughout this new LIVE event. Get details on this family-friendly affair that also includes art demonstrations and vendors at LovelandDowntownDistrictLive.com.
