Five To Love – July 2017 Edition

Along with the mid-summer July heat comes an abundance of things to do. We have launched a monthly video series, Five to Love, highlighting our top picks for things to do each month, kicking off with some great options for July.

  1. Foote Lagoon Summer Concert Series

On a floating island stage, Foote Lagoon Summer Concert Series hosts a variety of bands that play live music for families and friends every Thursday evening. No need to buy a ticket, just bring a blanket and picnic, or enjoy Food Truck specialties at the Summer Concert Series while you listen to the music. And don’t be shy, you can dance along to the music, too!

  1. Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands & Brews

Who doesn’t love a good barbecue in July? Then why not enjoy one for a charitable cause—Loveland Loves BBQ, Bands & Brews is a two-day event July 14 & 15 that benefits local charities such as The Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County, House of Neighborly Services and Loveland Sertoma. Only one weekend, so clear the calendar and ready a large appetite for all the great BBQ and brews while you listen to live music.

  1. Loveland’s Downtown District LIVE

Saturday, July 29 join the fun in a block party event with live bands, art, shopping and the best of Loveland’s downtown vibe. Get up close to the band, dance to the music, and enjoy an evening out at Loveland’s Downtown District LIVE. With plenty of restaurants and breweries in the heart of downtown, you can enjoy amazing food without missing a single song. Bring the kids or make a date night out of this special event and experience the energy of Loveland’s Downtown District LIVE.

  1. Devil’s Backbone

Every Colorado native knows about the beauty of nature, but nowhere else is a hike so beautiful than on Devil’s Backbone. Easy trails make these views kid-friendly and gorgeous any time of day. The keyhole is a great place for a group photo, especially at sunset. Open every day in July, Devil’s Backbone is a true gem of Colorado and Loveland is the lucky city to have it in it’s backyard.

  1. Lake Loveland Swim Beach

July is hot and no better way to cool down than a day at the beach. Lake Loveland’s swim beach is open to the public every day in July and is perfect for friends and families to come hang out or cool off. Whether you make a sand castle or just splash around, any day at the beach is a good way to spend summer. Bring a picnic and relax—that’s what July is for!
