Bring the family for Winter Wonderlights, Santa, shopping, shows and more this holiday season

Celebrate a season of wonder in Loveland, Colo. Holidays you love are in the heart of northern Colorado and your 12 days of holiday magic are right around the corner.

On the first day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for Winter Wonderlights.

Revel in the holiday glow at Loveland’s Winter Wonderlights, a NEW holiday lighting attraction at Chapungu Sculpture Park. Enjoy holiday lights, illuminated African stone sculptures and a nightly light and music show featuring a 20′ LED Christmas Tree. Special programming, giveaways, Colorado’s largest inflatable igloo, and local vendors are available during the weekends. Free and open to the public. The event has a suggested donation to Larimer County Food Bank. Open daily 5-9 p.m. Weekend hours are 5-9 p.m. Saturdays and 5-7 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 18, 2017 – Jan. 7, 2018.

On the second day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for incredible shopping and deals.

Ready to shop ‘til you drop and get amazing holiday deals? At the heart of northern Colorado, Loveland has shopping for everyone. Looking for guilt-free shopping? Try the Outlets at Loveland and don’t miss Moonlight Madness shopping and more than 400 prize giveaways throughout the night. Great Black Friday deals and holiday specials are also available at the Promenade Shops at Centerra, Marketplace at Centerra, and downtown boutiques. Downtown Loveland is celebrating Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24 encouraging shopping at many boutiques and restaurants throughout Loveland’s thriving downtown district.

On the third day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for stories, breakfast and photos with Santa.

Santa sightings are all across Loveland. Join Santa and the rest of his magical crew for Santa Saturdays in Downtown Loveland. Dec. 2 – 16, Santa will be in a new location each weekend with different activities at each stop. Santa will also be at the Promenade Shops at Centerra Nov. 24 – Dec. 24 and T Santa’s Workshop at Centerra this holiday season, Dec. 2 and 9. Bring your camera and capture the magic of your children meeting with Santa.

On the fourth day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for winter musical performances and more.

The wonder of the holidays can be experienced through many gatherings and events this season. Downtown Loveland is a hot spot for holiday fun. Don’t miss holiday shows at the Rialto Theatre including Loveland’s holiday sing-along Nov. 26 and the chance to watch some of your favorite holiday movies including White Christmas and It’s a Wonderful Life. The Budweiser Events Center (BEC) and the Ranch are bringing high-caliber national shows to Loveland this season. The Price is Right LIVE returns Dec. 5 to the BEC; Magical Winter Knights is an immersive renaissance festival Dec. 29-30 at the BEC and The Rocky Mountain Train Show heads to The Ranch Nov. 25-26. On the fifth day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for adventure on the ice rink and romantic carriage rides.

Snuggle or skate with family and friends at the Promenade Shops at Centerra. The Ice Rink is a family-friendly winter treasure for everyone and is open daily now through February 25, 2018. After a spin on the ice, snuggle with your loved ones or join family and friends on a complementary, good ol’ fashioned horse-drawn carriage ride down the Promenade’s Main Street on Sundays from Nov. 26 – Dec. 24. All rides depart in front of the ice rink.

On the sixth day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for a Festival of Lights.

Kick-off the holiday season in downtown Loveland with the Festival of Lights. Step into the magic of the holidays with the traditional Downtown Loveland tree-lighting ceremony and 2nd Annual Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights, presented by the Loveland Downtown Partnership brings holiday fun with the lighting a 24-foot Christmas Tree, entertainment and treats on Wednesday, November 29, from 5-8 p.m. The festivities take place on Fourth Street, between Jefferson and Railroad Avenues, with a fun family-friendly area between Lincoln and Jefferson and another area for the adults with a kid’s heart between Cleveland and Railroad featuring a music stage, local breweries, a winery and food.

On the seventh day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for Christmas at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch.

There is nothing quite like a Christmas celebration at the foothills of the Rockies. Come on out for Sylvan Dale’s Christmas Candlelight and Carols 2017 Dec. 23. This warm and festive holiday celebration features voices of the Loveland Choral Society and music of the season. Candlelight and Carols set the mood for the merry days to follow. Entry is $30 per person and includes appetizer buffet (hot and cold, savory and sweet) and non-alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine are available for cash purchase. Stay in one of Sylvan Dale’s cozy cabins this winter for 20 percent off a Bed and Breakfast getaway.

On the eighth day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for warm, festive spirits and craft beer.

Taste the holidays with some special flavors and blends from Loveland’s distilleries and craft breweries. It is no secret that Loveland is home to many fantastic craft breweries, not to mention the new Sweetheart winery and the Laughing Leprechaun Meadery. There is no shortage of great places to enjoy some drinks with friends to enjoy this holiday season. Grab a free Loveland beer passport, fill it out at participating breweries and earn your free Loveland beer glass from the Visitors Center.

On the ninth day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for delectable eats.

Fuel up for an epic shopping trip or indulge in local favorites as you visit Loveland for the holidays. While visiting our shopping centers and outlets, check out Bent Fork for an elegant twist on American fare, Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano for some casual Italian, or for a faster bite, hit up Café Athens, East Coast Pizza or Kobe Sushi. Or, try one of the Boot Grill’s famous hamburgers. Head downtown for fresh local fare at Door 222, Taste Local Cafe or Fresh Plate Cafe, or try pizza and wine at Origins. What better way to spend a Saturday night than watching the ECHL Kelly Cup Champions, the Colorado Eagles hockey team? The Eagles bring holiday fun for sports fans at the Budweiser Events Center for a sure-to-be high-intensity, action-packed evening. Tickets start at only $16 for single-game seats so bring the entire family out to enjoy the game. While there, find Slapshot the mascot and get your picture taken with him. On the twelfth day of Holiday Magic, come to Loveland for a memorable New Year’s Eve.

The New Year’s Eve Extreme Rodeo Challenge at the Budweiser Events Center at 7:30 p.m., Dec 31 has quickly become a favorite way to ring in the New Year. Everyone from the first timer to the experienced rodeo fan will enjoy this event. Come and see rodeo favorites with nationally-acclaimed bull riders – saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, and bullfighting along with the family-friendly mutton-bustin’. Then, join the after party and countdown to the New Year with great entertainment.
