What: Wild in Wildlife – Mountain Lions, Black Bears, Bobcats, Fox and Coyotes
When: June 15th, 6pm-7:30pm, and June 16th, 8am-11am
Where: High Plains Environmental Center & Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch
Join wildlife conservationist David Neils at HPEC Friday night, June 15th at HPEC’s Visitor Center to learn about the cool animals you rarely see but are found throughout Colorado, beginning with mountain lions. Learn some new things and teach others. For example, did you know there is a connection between grasshoppers and mountain lions? Discover how to make a difference for these amazing animals. Most importantly, do what you can to keep the wild in wildlife.
The presentation Friday night will be followed by a hike at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch (www.sylvandale.com/directions) the next morning from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Space will be limited to 15 children, each accompanied by a parent or guardian. On the hike you’ll see firsthand where these animals live, hunt, raise young and survive in all kinds of weather.
*This event is for children ages 5-12. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult for both the presentation and the hike.*
