Every day, millions of women and children in developing countries walk nearly four miles to retrieve water for their family’s daily needs. In most cases, even after walking for miles, the water they have is far from clean.
The 4th Annual Hach Walk for Water will simulate this trek to increase awareness of the global water crisis here at home and raise funds to bring clean water to a community in need. Each participant will start the Walk with an empty bucket and, about halfway through, they will fill that bucket with water and complete the remainder of the course. We hope that all participants end the Walk with a better understanding of the challenges people around the world face daily in search of something that we often take for granted – safe water. Join us on May 6th at Loveland High School and, along with your friends, neighbors and colleagues, take a step toward ending the global water crisis.
